Dear brother Eckhard,
—- Why have I been asking documents again and again? —-
You could be thinking that I have selfish reasons for I have been fighting for past few months to bring the documents that belong to fellowship and keep them in committee office in Tenali. Because brothers Burkhard and Ulrich have thought in that way, they did and are doing bad propaganda among the brethren in Europe and in America saying that ‘Yohan who is suffering from illness is planning to give the property documents that belong to fellowship to his children. Doctor Paul with the help of his brother Matthew Henry is causing a division among the assemblies in Andhra Pradesh and trying to turn them towards him’. It is not a worthy thing for a believer to talk bad about other brothers without a proof. Lord has warned us several times in the Holy Bible “You shall not give false testimony” (Mt 15:19; 19:18; Mark 10:19;14:56). In order for us to be an example for many believers, the interest we show to preach the Bible should be shown by applying it.
Nevertheless, it is Vinay Kumar that spoiled your hearts. He wrote a letter to Paul on December 28, 2017, saying “You are trying to bring the vertical split in the fellowship, which we brethren in the fellowship hitherto making to have oneness and unity among in Andhra brothers”. Can you show a proof that Paul or Matthew Henry tried to split the fellowship? Can you prove one word or an act that they said or did to encourage any split? If you can prove, I will impose 100 lashes to them in front of all the believers in the fellowship.
On the other hand, Vinay Kumar is trying to split the fellowship by favouring the believers from his Caste. In closing months of 2017, brother G. Solomon came to me and complained that ”Brother K. Vinay Kumar is giving prominence to the believers of his caste. He is giving most of the foreign donations to brethren from his caste. He is doing this to gather the support for himself if any problem arises in future. Please warn him of this behaviour”.
After some days brother Gera Daniel and Ch Prabhakar Rao came to me and complained “Brother K. Vinay Kumar is giving most of the donations to his caste believers. He is not giving all the money to the persons or the assembly to who it was intended and he is not informing them how much money was sent to the beneficiary. He is taking some money out of these contributions and giving them to his caste believers. He is not giving accounts when other trust members enquire. He is shutting mouths of the other trust members by saying “Did you ever ask Yohan or anyone that worked before as Chief Functionary to give accounts?”
On November 17th, 2017, in the brothers meeting held at Vetapalem brother John Lee questioned Vinay Kumar about the same “There are accusations that you are helping people from one caste, give an explanation of it”. I heard accusations similar to the above allegations from the most reliable sources.
Brother Eckhard, a person elected to lead fellowship desires for the spiritual gifts from the Lord to take forward the flock of God. But brother K. Vinay Kumar is using the methods of Caste that the political leaders in India use to get elected in the worldly elections.
When I entrusted the administrative responsibilities to K. Vinay Kumar, it was my impression that “He is getting enough government pension, has good wealth and properties that he earned through his job, so he will use the Lord’s money wisely and with the fear of the Lord and will lead the fellowship in the right path”. But he broke my trust. From the time I started the Assembly of Believers fellowship 40 years back, I laboured hard without proper food, sleep, health and attention to my family and developed the fellowship without any disparity among the brethren that they belong to a particular Caste or a group or a region. He is ruining my labour and behaving as a hireling, but not as a shepherd (John 10:7-16). Giving fake accounts, loving brethren only from his caste are the features of a hireling. With your unreserved and unconditional support to K. Vinay Kumar, you, brother Frank Ulrich and brother Burkard Schmidt are causing great damage to the fellowship and you will have to give an account before the Lord one day. In the near future, you will have to reap the fruit of the bitter consequences. One of the major reasons for fighting to call back the documents is because now they are in the hands of a hireling whose heart is corrupt and biased.
—- As Burkhard and Ulrich propagating, am I intending to give Tenali properties to my children? —-
Brother Eckhard, as I wrote in my previous email, before your first visit to Tenali in 1988 and before you started supporting, the ‘Assembly of Believers’ fellowship that I began has a printing press, a book room and a meeting hall with a thatch roof in 0.40 acre land and has an orphanage in 1.25 acre land in Pallekona. From 1978 to 1988 I have worked with T. W. brothers. Without a suggestion from any fellow brother or a T. W. brother, In 1978, I established a trust in the name of “Assembly of Believers” with the leading from the Lord. The 0.40 acre land in Tenali and 1.25 acre land in Pallekona were registered on this Trust name. There was nobody to question me even if I buy them in my personal name. But I have not done that way. Except me, everyone that is receiving money from “German Mission Funds” is buying properties on their personal names. From 1988 to till date, while I was buying properties on the trust name with the donations I received from Indian and foreign brothers, every other brother to who you are sending donations to build assembly halls or guest houses or orphanages or literature buildings or old age homes or building for AIDS project are registering these in their personal names and the property documents are with them. Some of these brothers who were called by the Lord into his presence left these properties to their children, not to the fellowship.
Dear brother, I want to tell you some of my personal histories. It was the days when fellowship just started flourishing. Though my wife and I were government employees, our salaries were just enough for the service of the Lord, to receive the fellow brothers into our home, to help them in their financial needs. My family consisted of 11 members, including my father, my nephew David, my wife and myself and my 7 children. On top of these, we used to receive 5 to 6 guests every day that visited us. It was very difficult to accommodate all these in the partly rented houses. Our conditions at the time didn’t give a chance to save any money to buy a house. In such difficult days, my beloved wife sold her gold jewellery that she got from her widowed mother and bought 0.30-acre land next to the Tenali meeting hall and built a house with a roof made out of straw and palm tree leaves. We lived in that house from 1979 to 1990. In 1984 I got acquainted with brother H. L. Heijkoop and for the purpose of distributing his books, I built a printing press in 1985 and a book room in 1987. Brother, here you have to make a note of an important matter: regardless of the fellowship I was in or he was in, to distribute brother Heijkoop’s books he gave plenty of money to me. I could have built the printing press and the book room in my personal land. But with an intention to be an example to my fellow brothers, I immediately transferred 300 square yards of my own land that we bought with my wife’s gold to the Assembly of Believers trust and then built a printing press. The Bookroom was constructed in the land that belongs to Assembly of Believers Trust. After associating with you in 1988, a guest house was built on the printing press with donations from you. In the years after, the 0.2-acre land was bought from brother Raja Rao to construct a building with 3 floors of big halls for annual conferences, 0.1-acre land adjacent to the printing press (where a small stage, baptism tub were built) and 0.2 acres of empty land behind the press was bought. All these properties were bought in the name of Assembly of Believers Trust. If I have any intention to give Tenali or Pallekona properties to my children then or now, I would have bought them on my personal name just like all the other believers in India who accrued properties on their personal names with the support received from abroad.
A landlord from a higher caste who has seen the services I was providing to the poor believers in Tenali has proposed to me that he will give his land at very low cost if it will be used for charity for the poor. I responded to his desire and bought 500 square yards of empty land in the name of “Assembly of Believers” Trust. I bought the adjacent 300 square yards of empty land on Matthew Henry’s name with my personal fund. I approached you to set up a modern printing press in that land, you said that you would think about it, but that it never went beyond thoughts. After some time, when I expressed my opinion to build a hospital to treat the poor believers, you agreed to it and helped 3 Million India Rupees generously. I thought that it will not be spacious if the hospital is built within the 500 square yards, so I included Matthew Henry’s 300 square yards to construct the hospital in 800 square yards of land. Not even one single Rupee was paid to Matthew Henry as a compensation. The hospital that was constructed for the benefit of poor believers was running from past 15 years just for the namesake because of insufficient funds and it was almost in the dead state. You promised several times to restore it but never allocated any funds for it. Due to the current deteriorated condition between us you put it to death it by stopping the minimal funds that were being sent.
In the meantime, I bought several lands in Pallekona with the help of Gast Family. Apart from the one-acre land that was given as lease for the three volunteers, Pallekona campus was built on 3.5 acres of land. Except for 1-acre land that was purchased with my personal money and 500 square yards of land that was bought by brother Rainer Pickard for Bethesda Baby Home, the rest of the lands were on the Assembly of Believers Trust name. Because of the increasing needs of the orphanage and due to the shortage of funds to buy additional land I gave my own land for the needs of the school.
For the past 30 years, you have been sending Millions of Indian Rupees as donations through the “German Missions Fund” to many dozens of believers across India for various ministries. Did anyone of them serve God selflessly? Every one of them had properties on their personal names. As an inheritance, they are leaving them to their children, but not to the fellowship.
I feel very sad in my heart to write this on my fellow brothers in India. But I must speak the truth and give you few examples:
Brother Ronny Fernandez: Established a Committee. He and his wife are the only members of that committee.
Brother Paul Rajesh: Built a book room in Tenali for literature ministry. This building property was in his name and after him, it will belong to his children.
Brother John Lee: With the money, he received from “German Missions Fund”, in Nellore he gathered a book room, a big meeting hall campus to run conferences, a guest house for foreigners (Today he is renting his own house and living with his family in the guest house meant for foreigners). All these properties were registered in brother John Lee’s name. After him, these will go to his sons.
Brother Solomon: His house, meeting hall and AIDS rehabilitation centre are registered in his personal name. After him, they will go to his family members. Documents of all these properties are with G. Solomon. As if these are not enough, he is with a wicked desire to occupy Tenali or Vetapalem properties.
Brother Owk Santhaiah: The meeting hall and the guest house that was built in Owk were registered on brother Santhaiah name. After he went into the presence of the Lord, now they are with his sons. Property documents of these assets are with his children.
Brother Muthukur Joseph (Nellore): Though he has promised to buy the land in the name of AOB Trust, he has utilised the earmarked funds for the construction of meeting hall in the joint property of his brother and himself. His brother is a drunkard and not a believer. He is a troubleshooter. Finally, this property will go into the hands of their successors.
Brother M. Emmanuel, Ferozguda : The properties purchased with the funds of “German Missions Fund” are in his own name. These properties will also go into the hands of his Successors.
Volunteers in Pallekona: Last but not the least your son, son-in-law, Phillip Bremicker who came to Pallekona on temporary visas built permanent houses in the one-acre land that belongs to the orphanage. This land was taken on lease free of cost. When the lease documents of this land are with your son and son-in-law, then what is wrong if Tenali assembly properties are in the hands of Tenali assembly brothers? We are not asking them to give to me or any of my family member? We are just making a righteous demand that they should be in Tenali Committee Office.
Brother Eckhard, I can give you information of more than 50 brothers that have fellowship properties registered on their personal names. But I am not behaving like them and will not. I never bought any property on my personal name using the foreign donations. Moreover, I gave the lands that I bought with my money and my wife’s money to the needs of fellowship and orphanage. I don’t even own a house. The house where I am living today is bought with the hard-earned money of my wife. In my ministry life, I requested several foreign brothers to help for the construction of houses of many local brothers in India, but I never asked to help for the construction of the house built by my wife. She went through many difficulties and paid long-term loans to build the house.
Brother Eckhard, though I lived a selfless life for the ministry of the Lord, you are behaving unjustly towards me. Though I have lived selfless life for the Lord’s service, you have stamped me that I am a selfish brother. You have also been propagating this concocted story amongst the western brethren. You are creating issues more complicated by your influences in the fellowship. You are making a meaningless allegation that I am helping for the activities of my son Paul, but I believe heartfully that you are behaving with a vengeance because I have not given the Pallekona Orphanage documents and administration to you or your children. This is my confession before the Lord. I have been demanding that Tenali property documents must be with Tenali assembly believers because I lost confidence in K. Vinay Kumar who is biased and helping only his caste believers and corrupted in his heart and not giving details of accounts to his fellow committee members. Yet you are giving a deaf ear to this matter.
So I have decided this: As I have stated on December 18th, 2014 before the 200 believers, a trust was registered in March 2018 with the government of Andhra Pradesh with 7 members from the Tenali local meeting for the administration of Tenali Campus properties. As a founder of that trust, I am the chairman and Matthew Henry is the only member of my family. The rest of the members are the believers from the local assembly. Regardless of you give the documents or not, I will run the administration of this trust as long as I live. After me, the trust will oversee. Brother, please make a note of this: I am not giving the administrative responsibilities to my sons, but to the brothers from the local assembly that is, to the fellowship. My heartfelt thanks to you!
There are still some clarifications I have to give you once for all. Today I am leaving to CMC, Vellore for Medical Check-up. After I come back to Tenali I will continue. Kindly wait.
Your brother by Grace,
