Thus speaks the LORD God …, Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you.

For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life.

Jeremiah 30, 2; Deuteronomy 32, 47.

The Bible is the one book that is bought and read more than any other in the world. It has been translated, either totally or partially, in over 2,800 languages.

Why is such an old book still so relevant today? Because God Himself speaks and reveals Himself personally to us through it. By means of the Bible He tells us all that we need to know to become acquainted with Him and lead a happy life in communion with Him.

Jesus Christ is the central theme of this book, whose author is God Himself. The Bible is the truth;  its reports are guaranteed and testified. It deals with eternal life, making it clear that people have come to a decision. It opens a door revealing the future of mankind, the nations and the earth.

The Bible comforts and strengthens; it is a help in the questions and problems of life. It provides the spiritual nourishment that everyone needs. It is the light illuminating our life’s pathway. If we read it prayerfully and accept God’s Word, from a lost life we attain to eternal joy.

To sum up: the Bible has been written so that “you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name” (John 20, 31).
