Roseanne Barr lost her precious job after describing Valerie Jarrett in her tweet as a product of Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes.
Valerie Jarrett did many awful things while she was in the White House. You can criticize her all day long based on ideology. Calling her planet of the apes is not acceptable. Bible says all human beings carry the image of God. So, such comments reflect violation of this foundational principle of God’s creation.
Roseanne Barr, like many conservatives, gave a nice blanket over to VJ and her secular liberal colleagues. Now, any criticism of VJ could be portrayed as racism and Islamophobia. Many times conservatives say lot of good things and mess everything by adding a few racist comments.
Let me blame Ambien: This attitude reflects our materialistic worldview. If I say wrong things or do wrong things, don’t blame my character or will, blame my hormones and medications. This argument stems from our Freudian, materialistic worldview. But we should realize we have a free will operating under a moral framework. As Jesus said, ‘For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks’ (Luke 6:45). The best way to protect our speech is to dwell on the Word of God, imbibe its principles and thing about noble things as Apostle Paul urged us in Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
First things are which are true…….The Bible asks us to start with truthful things. Truth is no one is a descendant of the planet of the apes. All are created in the image of God.
Have a blessed day!
