“I can’t honestly say on that, in a sense, I have too many people that I love that they are homosexual. I don’t know. I actually had a conversation with someone last night about it. I can’t say one way or the other. I’m not God. So when people ask questions like that, that’s what my go-to is. I just say read the Bible and find out for yourself. And when you find out, let me know, because I’m learning, too.”
This is the response Christian singer Lauren Daigle gave to a radio talk show host when asked, “Is homosexuality a sin?”
If some one asks you, ‘Is adultery a sin?’, could you say, “”I can’t honestly say on that, in a sense, I have too many people that I love that they are adulterers. I don’t know”?
If some one asks you, ‘Is fornication a sin?’, could you say, “”I can’t honestly say on that, in a sense, I have too many people that I love that they are fornicators. I don’t know.”?
Why is fornication a sin? Because Bible says so. Homosexuality is no different. The Bible condemns it as a sin. The fact we have wonderful and nice homosexuals around us does not make it less sinful that it is condemned in the Bible.
Rather than taking a stand for this Biblical truth many Christians are responding like Lauren Daigle, “I can’t say one way or the other. I am not God’.
But, you don’t have to be God to speak boldly on issues Bible speaks with a crystal clear voice. It seems Lauren Daigle is just another shallow ‘Christian’ singer who wants to make a quick buck by selling her ‘Christian’ music without any commitment to the Word of God. May God save her listeners and fans!
