Today’s question is, Is it appropriate to ask Abdu about Ravi and Margie’s sex life? Brian sent me this video in which Abdu Murray was interviewed by Sean McDowell and his dad Josh McDowell. At one point they talked about Steve Baughman who exposed Ravi Zacharias. So, I forwarded the video to two atheists who investigated Ravi Zacharias, Steve Baughman and his friend Paul McCarthy.

They watched the video and sent me some comments. Steve Baughman wrote at 55: Josh McDowell asked Abdu Murray about the sex life of Ravi and his wife Margie. So, I played the video at 55 minutes and there was Josh McDowell asking Abdu what he knew about the intimacy between Ravi and Margie. That was shocking. So shocking that initially Abdu refused to answer. Then Abdu said there was a good chemistry between Ravi and his wife. I thought, whatever happened to basic manners? Whatever happened to decency in public conversation? Where is respect for privacy? If you want a short answer, Josh has a dirty mind. It is none of his business how it was between Ravi and his wife. That is highly inappropriate and an invasion of privacy.

I have some patients who come to me to discuss their intimacy problems. I feel uncomfortable to ask questions related to that problem even in a private room because those are very personal issues. That Josh McDowell asking such questions on live TV before the whole world is shocking. Christian apologists should spend more time talking about the holiness of God than about sexuality.

Ravi had the same problem. Another email was from Paul McCarthy. He said Ravi talking about cheating on his wife in his sermons is highly inappropriate. I am emphasizing these two individuals’ atheism because we the Christians are doing things even atheists find offensive. If you listen to Ravi’s sermons, he has so many stories about adultery and sexual debauchery. Nietzsche, Malcolm Muggeridge, Oscar Wilde filled up his sermons. He talked very little about the holiness of God. You know how his life ended. We are living in an x rated society. You don’t have to bring such stories to the pulpit.

Talk more about the sacredness of human sexuality and the holiness of God so that we are inspired more to live holy lives. If you talk more about sinners, you are more likely to imitate their sins. If you talk more about saints, you are more likely to imitate their holiness.

Ravi Zacharias had a dirty mind. Josh McDowell has a dirty mind. Christian apologetics is not about cramming a lot of arguments in our minds. It should be about developing a pure heart through fellowship with the Holy Spirit of God and cleansing by the word of God. Jesus Christ our Lord said in his sermon on the mount, blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

We read in 2 Timothy 2:22, “So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.” 2 Timothy 2:22

Apostle Paul says, flee from sinful passions and pursue the righteousness of God, Faith in Christ, love of God and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. Also see 1 Peter 2:2

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:2

Desire the sincere milk of the word. That is what we need folks spending more time feeding on the word of God. That’s all for today, folks. Please share your comments. Subscribe to our channel and like this video.
